About the farm
Chevas Coffee Estate began when Luis Victor Chevas, bought his first farm in the 1970s in Alto Chiquero, Boquete of Panama. This farm was dedicated to large-scale agriculture, with mainly onion and potato production. After a few years it expanded with 2 more farms in different regions, El Salto and Alto Quiel, in total three different microclimates full of soils rich in nutrients and organic matter. These farms located between 1500 and 1750 masl, brought with them different coffee plants, but it was not until 1996 when Luis decided to start planting his largest production lots, which supplied the largest coffee farms at that time.
Inspired by his grandfather's work at the age of 18, José Luis Chevas, began to join his family business. He established Chevas Coffee Estate in 2016, dedicated to harvesting the best quality cherries and processing them with great passion. Despite being young, Chevas practice traditional processes complemented with innovation and technology to maintain and enhance their cup.
