Found in 1988, Thageini Wet Mill is a premier coffee processing facility located in the Tetu division of Nyeri County. It is one of the mills operated by the Aguthi Farmer’s Cooperative Society. The Society provides training for their members on techniques for farm management, picking, sorting and agronomic techniques. They hold workshops for members to meet and learn from each other and provide specific advice to producers on their farm where possible.

While traditionally famous for its meticulously clean washed processing coffees, the mill has gained recent acclaim for experimenting with innovative processing methods, such as natural processing and carbonic maceration, in partnership with global specialty coffee company.
