About the farm

Finca Soledad is a farm located in Intag Valley in the North of Ecuador. It was purchased by Pepe and his father in 2010. Intag was initially a mining region rather than growing coffee. With the hard work by Pepe and his team, around 25000 trees had returned to the land. Pepe started to develop the land to coffee planting. Of the 120 hectares, there are only 4 hectares currently for growing coffee, with mainly Typica Mejorado and Sidra, alongside with some Gesha, Caturra and Castillo. The remaining hectares of the farm are composed of a dense cloud forest canopy filled with biodiversity, as well as a sugarcane production. The belief is biodiversity will drive the quality of the coffee.
